| We have 4 American Milking Devons and we are unfortunately moving to a different farm and can’t accommodate our cattle their. We really have a great package for anyone desiring to start a herd. All are registered with the American Milking Devon Association and our cows are both bred for next spring . They have deep pedigrees from a large, beautiful and hardy herd at Uptunket Farm in pawlet VT. The herdsman there has been breeding the bloodlines to be milkier as he milks several for his family. Our bull is unrelated to the cows making them excellent breeding stock. We are trying to sell them as a package, so to sweeten the deal if anyone is on the fence we will throw in a free portable milking stanchion on skids so you can isolate or milk out in a field, a free portable hay feeder on skids so you can feed about 4 animals square bales anywhere with less hay waste. Our animals are: UpTunket Petunia, 3 year AMD cow. She is sweet and shy, has had one calf with no problems and has been hand milked. She is trained to come inside a stanchion for grain. UpTunket Ruby 2 year AMD cow, recent mother of our bull calf this spring. She has also been hand milked and is trained to come inside a stanchion for grain. She has a sweet disposition, is a good mother, and was an easy birther this spring. UpTunket Laddie is our 1 year old Bull, he is docile, respects my authority, and looks great. He is unrelated and has been with our cows on pasture since the spring. CloverBlossom Rowdy is a 9 week bull calf and is not being handled.
Each cow is $2000, the Bull is $1500, the Bull Calf is $500. $6000 takes the lot also with the feeder and stanchion if desired. All prices are firm. I know the price is a bit steep but there are less than 600 AMDs in country.
