Troubleshooting

1) If you registered and it's been more than a few days but you haven't gained access, your Livestock Conservancy membership may be out-of-date. Click here to renew your membership, then let us know you're up-to-date and we will approve your access.

2) The most common problem when using our classifieds is "error message 1" while trying to upload a photo. If you receive this message, your photo is probably too large. To reduce the size of the photo, follow the steps below and try to re-upload.

Windows Users using Paint:

  1. Open the file in MS Paint (should be under accessories if you are running a Windows operating system).
  2. Click "Resize" under the "Home" tab. (In some versions of Paint, you may need to go to the “Image” option in the top Tool Bar and select “Stretch/Skew” for the Resize and Skew dialog box to appear.)
  3. In the Stretch Horizontal/Vertical options, enter 20% or lower and leave "Maintain aspect ratio" checked.
  4. Save the file with a new name and re-upload the new file to the classifieds site.

Mac Users using Preview:

  1. Find the file you want to resize and press Command ⌘ on the keyboard while you click on the file.
  2. Select Open with > Preview.
  3. Select Tools > Adjust Size to bring up the Resize dialog box.
  4. Select “Resample image.”
  5. Enter a smaller value in the Resolution field.
  6. Save the file with a new name and re-upload the new file to the classifieds site.
In Photoshop
  1. Open the image you would like to resize.
  2. Click on Image > Image Size
  3. Enter a smaller value in the Pixel Dimensions or Document Size field and leave "Constrain Proportions" checked, then click "OK."
  4. Save the file with a new name and re-upload the new file to the classifieds site.

3) If you need additional help, contact Ryan Walker for assistance.
