2) The most common problem when using our classifieds is "error message 1" while trying to upload a photo. If you receive this message, your photo is probably too large. To reduce the size of the photo, follow the steps below and try to re-upload.
Windows Users using Paint:
- Open the file in MS Paint (should be under accessories if you are running a Windows operating system).
- Click "Resize" under the "Home" tab. (In some versions of Paint, you may need to go to the “Image” option in the top Tool Bar and select “Stretch/Skew” for the Resize and Skew dialog box to appear.)
- In the Stretch Horizontal/Vertical options, enter 20% or lower and leave "Maintain aspect ratio" checked.
- Save the file with a new name and re-upload the new file to the classifieds site.
Mac Users using Preview:
- Find the file you want to resize and press Command ⌘ on the keyboard while you click on the file.
- Select Open with > Preview.
- Select Tools > Adjust Size to bring up the Resize dialog box.
- Select “Resample image.”
- Enter a smaller value in the Resolution field.
- Save the file with a new name and re-upload the new file to the classifieds site.
In Photoshop
- Open the image you would like to resize.
- Click on Image > Image Size
- Enter a smaller value in the Pixel Dimensions or Document Size field and leave "Constrain Proportions" checked, then click "OK."
- Save the file with a new name and re-upload the new file to the classifieds site.
