Scholarship Opportunities

2011 ALBC Conference Scholarship Application

Through the generosity of the William JJ Gordon Family Foundation, the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy is pleased to offer scholarships to several members in need that wish to attend the annual conference to be held in Wichita, KS November 11-12, 2011. The scholarship will cover the cost of a full conference registration, one pre-conference workshop, and provide $300 towards travel expenses.

Qualifications
To qualify, you must be able to show you:

• Are an ALBC member in good standing at the time of application
• Require economic assistance in order to attend the conference
• Submit application including required small essay
• Immediately after the event are willing to share your experiences from the conference in the form of an article for ALBC News

Application Process
Scholarship applications must be received no later than July 1st, 2011,and scholarship winners will notified no later than August 2011. Applications will be reviewed by committee and awarded based on the ALBC membership status, financial need of the applicant, contributions to rare breed conservation, and potential to give back to the field.
